Animagraffs is a creative studio founded by Jacob O’Neal that specializes in animated infographics and 3D visualizations designed to explain the inner workings of everyday technologies. O’Neal, a self-taught designer and 3D artist, blends his passion for graphic design, science, and engineering with visual storytelling to create technically accurate yet highly engaging motion graphics.

Each Animagraffs piece begins with deep research—studying patents, engineering forums, technical manuals, and other often‐hidden sources. O’Neal then builds detailed 3D models (using tools like Blender) and combines these with motion graphics in software such as Adobe After Effects to produce clean, compelling animations that simplify complex systems.

Animagraffs gained major attention when its “How a Car Engine Works” animation went viral, drawing tens of thousands of visitors in a short period and establishing O’Neal’s reputation for clarity, accuracy, and visual polish.

Animagraffs stands out for:

  • Technical accuracy: Visualizations grounded in engineering and science.
  • High production value: Polished 3D and motion graphics.
  • Educational value: Making complex systems accessible to general audiences.
  • Visual appeal: Engaging animations that facilitate understanding and sharing.
